My work began with a question about the essence of objects that exist beyond the visible world. From this inquiry, I sought to express, in abstract form, a more fundamental and elevated spiritual realm.

In pursuit of such abstract imagery, I move away from direct visual representation of nature and humanity, instead placing emphasis on inner sensation and spiritual contemplation. Rooted in the traditional Korean view of nature, my work reflects an attempt to assimilate the self into nature as universe, expressing this attitude through a lyrical yet abstract visual language.

Through this process of perception, I have strived to reveal a transparent spiritual world by utilizing the characteristics and textures of traditional Korean paper (hanji).
